Do I need a new thermostat or water pump when I swap this radiator in?
Not necessarily. If your thermostat and pump are functioning properly, they're fine to reuse. However, this is a good time to inspect both—if they're original or have high mileage, replacing them at the same time prevents a comeback job.
Will I need to flush the cooling system before installation?
Yes. Drain the old coolant completely and flush the block and hoses with distilled water before installing this radiator. Debris or contaminated coolant from the old unit will clog the new core and reduce cooling performance.
