condensation vs. Leak
Light mist or slight condensation is normal. If this happens, park your vehicle in the sun to relieve condensation. Then reset all the gaskets and caps to make sure they are well sealed.
If there are water leaks as seen in the image, please let us know as soon as possible and we will correct the problem.
What can we do about it?
Make sure the headlamp vents are not blocked as this can cause persistent moisture and fogging problems. To prevent condensation, make sure all rubber gaskets, seals, and O-rings are well sealed. Use the sealant to secure the headlights before installation if necessary.
Why is moisture trapped inside?
- Air is trapped inside during installation.
- Moisture sticks to the coolest part of the lamp.
- Halogen lights tend to get hot so moisture can evaporate more quickly.
- LED lights produce less heat so moisture takes longer to evaporate.
How to adjust your headlights
Before taking the vehicle out on the road, be sure to properly adjust the headlights. Park your vehicle on a level surface about 10 to 25 feet from a wall and turn on your headlights. The brightest part of the joists should not be higher than 3.5 feet above the ground. Follow the steps below to make adjustments:
1. Find the adjustment screws. First, put the adjusting bolts in your vehicle.
2. Adjust the headlights individually. The headlights must be adjusted one at a time. Lay a towel on a chair facing the light you want to block. Covering the light directly may damage the plastic lens.
3. Adjust the vertical field. The screw at the top of the light housing must be turned clockwise to raise the light and counterclockwise to lower the light. The headlight should be adjusted until the top of the brightest part of the beam shines directly on or just below the center of the tape line on the wall.
4. Test your results.
Problems and solutions
Have your car headlights been dimmed by abrasion from road debris?
Are your factory headlights not bright enough?
Are your headlights yellowed and faded from the sun and elements?
new vs old
A dim, cloudy, yellowed, damaged or non-functioning headlight makes driving dangerous.
A new mount will make your car look newer and give you and your family safer night driving.
See further. See wider. See better. A new set of headlights from AUTOSAVER88 will allow you to see the road ahead clearly at night and in any bad weather that may arise.
